Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day

Only 63% of Oklahomans are aware of advance care planning and only 22% have taken action to document their health care choices. Furthermore, about 31% of people say they do not know how to begin the process and about 27% say they have no idea what to put into a health care directive.

Because of this, Clarehouse is leading Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day, a local effort to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making and empower people to consider, articulate and communicate their health care values, choices and preferences.

Each year around National Healthcare Decisions Day, April 16,  Clarehouse invites the public to take the time to decide what they want in a health crisis. Our Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day program features Your Voice. Your Wishes. Your Advance Directive., a video guide to the Oklahoma Advance Directive for Healthcare, followed by a teaching session and Q&A with local experts.

If you would like to host a Tulsa Healthcare Decisions Day event, please contact Britni Smith, Education Director, for more information.
